Abstract
In an aquaculture company located in Yaguachi canton, significant challenges were observed in the professional development of its employees, particularly in strengthening communication, in the production area. This research presents a theoretical-methodological conception for developing communicative competence in the company’s operational staff. The diagnostic process revealed that employees have difficulties in communication, not only in their ability to listen and receive information but also in their skill to understand and effectively transmit it in various work contexts. The qualitative methodology features a descriptive study with a sample of 20 employees, 7 shift leaders and 13 lead operators. The data collection techniques included document analysis, competence measurement, and focus groups. These findings present a theoretical-methodological conception evaluated by experts and is based in theoretical and methodological principles. It offers a practical guide for developing communicative competence in the operational staff. This proposal describes the necessary objectives and methodologies, and it is applicable to other non-formal education contexts. This proposal is a valuable tool for enhancing communication and the professional skills development. The results obtained can serve for designing and implementing communication development and training programs.
