Abstract
Nowadays, educational institutions are experiencing a complete evolution since the teaching-learning processes are being strengthened with the adequate attention to diversity that is being provided to students; for this reason, the purpose of this study was to identify strategies for the preparation of teachers around inclusive education in the Ernesto Lopez Educational Unit, for its development a sample of 9 teachers was considered. Since this was mixed research, different methodologies were applied, such as a survey, classroom observation, focus groups, and, in addition, documentary analysis. The results demonstrated that the teachers of the Ernesto López Educational Unit continue to use traditional pedagogical strategies without considering the students' different learning styles. However, it is necessary to emphasize that the teachers are aware that the bases they have concerning inclusive education should be reinforced. Finally, a proposal was designed to work on capacity building in inclusive education through a workshop system in which the participation of teachers is active, which will provide an answer to the problem initially identified.
