Abstract
The purpose of this research work is to strengthen the teaching-learning process of Natural Sciences, specifically in the content related to the types of natural ecosystems of Ecuador, through the development of a system of recreational activities applied in virtuality. The methodology applied for the development of the project responds to a qualitative approach and a socio-critical paradigm, the use of various techniques and research instruments, participant observation, field diaries and surveys, allowed the recollection of pertinent information for the development of the topic. Through the participant observation applied during the course of the PP developed during the eighth and ninth semester, it was possible to verify that the students present comprehension problems on the topic of the Types of Natural Ecosystems of Ecuador, the causes of these difficulties are due to the following factors: short time allocated for the teaching of the topic; unstable internet connection of the students; due to the application of pre-instructional strategies. With the use of the techniques and instruments applied during the development of the project, the research team proposed to develop a recreational strategy based on a system of activities, developed in the virtual modality. Which responds to the following research question: "How to contribute to the strengthening of the teaching-learning process of the types of natural ecosystems in Ecuador, in the area of Natural Sciences for the seventh year of EGB in the Millennium Educational Unit Francisco Febres Cordero?"
