Abstract
The Curricular Integration Project was carried out at the “UECIB ABC”, located in San Pablo de Tenta parish of Saraguro, in Loja province. This research emerged from identified dilemmas, which were; the late application of the Intercultural Bilingual Education System Model; a nonexistent official Experiential Community Calendar, the application of traditional methodologies, the lack of contextualized education, and the absence of Ethnomathematics teaching-learning. This study was conducted with a field methodological design, focused on a qualitative approach and through ethnographic descriptions. The instruments and techniques that allowed the collection of information were; participant observations, interviews, field journal, audio-tape recordings, focus group discussion and checklist. The participants of this study were the teachers belonging to the FCAP and the community. The purpose of this research project was to design a digital pedagogical tool using the Experiential Community Calendar and its contents as integrating axes, to develop ethnomathematical activities linked with the units of the FCAP process of the Kichwa nationality curriculum. The result was that the “UECIB ABC” obtained a digital pedagogical tool that can help with the teaching process of Ethnomathematics, having meaningful activities original from the Tenta community. This permitted to highlight the knowledge and wisdom of the Kichwa Saraguro culture, strengthen the construction of an intercultural society aware of its own local values.
