Abstract
The work of curricular integration arose from the pre-professional immersion practices of the eighth and ninth cycle as part of the teacher training of the Intercultural Bilingual Education career at the UNAE. This pre-professional practice was carried out with the 5th grade students of the Fiscomisional Bilingual Intercultural Community Educational Unit “Mushuk Kawsay” of the Tambo canton, belonging to the province of Cañar. In this sublevel we observe that the teaching of mathematics is presented in a traditional way, in which the teacher uses the textbook and the activities developed during class time are of an abstract and rote nature. The purpose of this research is to develop playful strategies for the development of the teaching-learning process in basic operations in the area of mathematics in 5th grade students of the UECIB Fiscomisional Mushuk Kawsay and to present some of the strategies that they can use teachers in the classroom to make teaching more interesting and dynamic. The research method was qualitative, and the data collection instruments are field diary, participant observation, interviews, and tests. To achieve the stated objective, a didactic proposal was developed that contains mathematical problems designed to work in groups or individually in the classroom. The results obtained show that the use of playful strategies improves learning and develops skill in solving basic operations, and even improves the interest of students after performing basic operations applied to everyday life problems.
