Abstract
One of the main difficulties faced by people with "Autism Spectrum Disorder" (ASD) is socialization and the establishment of interpersonal relationships, so it is vital to generate social interaction in them and thus favor the development of social skills both in the educational field and in the environment that surrounds it, this is the essential problem of the case under study. From these assumptions, an investigation was carried out which is theoretically based on different bibliographic sources related to "Autism Spectrum Disorder" (ASD), social skills and the ABA method. Likewise, the authors emphasize the importance and benefit of social skills in a person with ASD. The methodological foundations of the research assume an interpretative paradigm with a qualitative approach, the methodology used is the single case study. To obtain the information, the following techniques were used: interview, participant observation, document analysis, with their respective instruments: interview guide, observation guide and documentary analysis guide. Based on the data obtained, a qualitative analysis was carried out that allowed to contribute in a novel way the construction of the proposal of a "Methodological guide for teacher guidance for the development of social skills in a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) of the Institute of Cerebral Palsy of Azuay (IPCA)" which was evaluated from the specialist criterion.
