Abstract
The objective of the investigation was the reinforcement of reading comprehension in the students of the seventh grade of EGB of the U.E.M. "Sayausí", it had four phases of investigation: diagnostic, planification, observation and reflection. In order to know the subject in depth, theoretical approaches of local, national and international authors who have worked on the subject of reading comprehension were carried out, and authors related to reading, reading comprehension and didactic strategies used for the benefit of reading comprehension were also reviewed. The paradigm used was socio-critical and qualitative research of change and transformation with a descriptive-explanatory method. For the collection of information, a semi-structured interview was conducted with the teacher, a classroom observation form and a diagnostic form based on strategies related to text comprehension. Based on the data obtained, a didactic strategies guide was created as a means of solving the problems identified. The didactic guide created facilitated the improvement of reading comprehension, through the work of different skills that are part of the area of Language and Literature. The information collected was presented through semantic networks that allowed the identification of the degree of difficulty in the students and the relationship between the information from different sources. Then, a didactic strategies card was applied for the student, with the purpose of strengthening reading comprehension in this sub-level. Finally, the conclusions are related to the fulfillment of the specific objectives and the recommendations to improve the reading comprehension of the students are enunciated.
