Abstract
The present work focuses on developing assertive behaviors in the Third Year students of Basic General Education at the "NUEVE DE AUGOSTO" school, taking into account that the objective is to considerably reduce violence and disruptive behaviors within the classroom; For this reason, the didactic unit called "Pekes to the rescue of assertive behaviors" was developed and applied, the same one that was distributed in transversal axes and worked in the different areas of study through the use of active tools and techniques allowing a management and adequate control of their emotions achieving a harmonious coexistence inside and outside the classroom; The implementation of the didactic unit allowed the students to develop and strengthen the social skills that are necessary in their interpersonal and intrapersonal development.
