Abstract
The phenomenon of high dropout rates and the lack of strategies to promote diversity awareness has a significant impact on tenth-grade students at the "Víctor Gerardo Aguilar" Educational Unit. This study aimed to propose a workshop system focused on strengthening the school-family relationship to prevent dropouts and enhance diversity awareness. The research was based on literature about school dropout, the interplay between schools and families, and attention to diversity. It used an interpretative paradigm, employed a qualitative approach and adopted the case study method with interviews and focus groups as the main research techniques, using semi-structured interview guides and scripts as instruments. The findings highlighted insufficient adaptation of educational processes according to student needs, where sociocultural factors were found to be influential in students' definitive abandonment of their studies. In response, a workshop system was developed with the goal of preventing dropout rates while also promoting attention to diversity by addressing aspects such as social development and emotional well-being for all stakeholders involved (families, teachers, students) in order to increase motivation and engagement int he education process. Ultimately, it concluded that enhancing relationships between schools and families facilitates adaptable educational procedures while also fostering overall community involvement to ensure academic success for students.
