Abstract
The development of gross motor skills in children from 4 to 5 years old is important in the life of the human being, since in the first years of life they acquire skills or abilities that will provide independence in their future. Therefore, the present research called "Development of motor skills through Waldorf pedagogy in children from 4 to 5 years of the Educational Unit "Luis Roberto Bravo". It aimed to contribute to the development of gross motor skills of children of Sublevel 2 through an educational blog called Waldorf Education. The problem was evidenced during the pre-professional practices and arose from the difficulties that the children presented in balance, displacement and visuomotor, specifically when jumping on a foot and two feet maintaining balance, walking in a straight line, throwing and catching objects, among others. For this research, theoretical references were systematized in relation to the object of study with topics such as: psychomotricity, the development of gross motor skills, subcomponents of gross motor skills, Waldorf Pedagogy, among others. Also, a methodological framework was proposed with a socio-critical paradigm and a qualitative approach. In addition, the type of research belongs to the case study and the methodology was descriptive and explanatory. In the same way, techniques and instruments such as participant observation, interview, focus group, observation guide and interview guide were proposed, which allowed to collect valuable information for research. In this way, it was obtained as a result that the children maintained difficulties in their gross motor development, so an educational Blog called "Knowing the world through my movements – Waldorf Pedagogy" was designed as a proposal. Then, a pilot was carried out to analyze and reflect on whether the activities were favorable. The research allowed us to conclude that it is important to stimulate gross motor development, since it will help to avoid sedentary lifestyle in the child.
