Abstract
This research entitled "The WebQuest as a teaching tool in the learning of the whole numbers in eighth of Basic General Education of the Luis Cordero Educational Unit" of the city of Azogues. It aims to contribute to the learning of whole numbers through a WebQuest as a teaching tool. To fulfill the purpose, a WebQuest was designed with didactic activities in five phases. The methodology is qualitative under the socio-constructivist paradigm and is based on an action research model. This model allowed to determine the potentialities and weaknesses of the use of a WebQuest as a Conceptual and procedural contribution for students. Bernie Dodge developed this tool in 1995 as an activity oriented to the investigation and appropriation of information. Its application produced favorable results for research because it is known that WebQuest contributed to the learning of whole numbers. In addition, When comparing the results obtained in the diagnostic evaluation and the final evaluation, we can say that the conceptual and methodological contribution provided by this digital tool favors the learning of whole numbers.
