Abstract
The purpose of this project is to implement techno-pedagogical tools aimed at improving reading comprehension in eighth grade children EGB from the Manuel Muñoz Cordero School in the city of Azogues. The problem was identified from the application of the pre-test of the released PISA tests that It was structured by six questions that evaluated the level of reading comprehension. The research is quasi-experimental and has a mixed approach, under the paradigms sociocritical and post positivist. The instruments and techniques that are applied were: scientific observation, field diaries, open interview to the teachers of the area of Language and Literature of the upper basic. Additionally, the focus group was made up of ten students with the objective of knowing the level of acceptance of the use of techno-pedagogical tools in learning to read. The experiment included a pre-test and two post-tests to the twenty-nine students of the degree. The results reflected a significant improvement in reading comprehension after the application of the experimental treatment. The analysis of all data was performed using the chi-square significance test and Pearson's correlation statistic C, which allowed accepting the hypothesis of work "the level of reading comprehension of the students improves significantly after the application of techno-pedagogical tools in the teaching process learning".
