Abstract
The work sought to implement sexuality education in the teaching-learning process of different subjects of the seventh year of General Basic Education (EGB) of the Luis Cordero Educational Unit of Azogues, in order to contribute to the integrality of the human being and to the cognitive and affective components of the individual's personality. For the construction of the research, the socio-critical paradigm and a mixed approach were considered. The methods and instruments used for data collection were participant observation, interview, focus group, survey, documentary analysis, observation records, field diaries, questionnaires and question guides. The empirically collected data were analyzed by means of the indirect inductive-deductive method. Finally, the project generated the proposal of a pedagogical conception that, from a new point of view or approach to sexuality education, orients its development as a transversal content in the subjects of Mathematics, Language and Literature, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences. The conception includes theoretical and methodological-practical components oriented to its understanding from a more updated approach for its implementation. The second component was evaluated based on the implementation of a pilot project on sexuality education, which showed small changes in the students' critical thinking after two weeks of application. The entire concept was evaluated by expert judgment with favorable results in terms of its feasibility and relevance, with a recommendation to implement the project due to its importance in the integral development of the students.
