Abstract
At present the teachers of the Area of Language and Literature find many difficulties to foment the habit of the reading in the students; Traditional didactic strategies do not allow the development of the appropriate didactic sequence to achieve meaningful learning. The need to encourage reading, allows to consider the discursive resources as a pedagogical tool to embark the adolescents in this magical world.
The application of the discursive genre "El Cómic" contributed as a means of multidisciplinary integration within the communicative process of the students. This didactic process developed in the classroom with the comic determines three didactic phases: Reading the selected text, drawing a more representative scene, dramatizing the text or a scene of the work, writing a personal experience and transforming the text read in comic. This didactic sequence was called "Literary Mutation", which allowed the students to reach the objectives set in this didactic unit.
