Abstract
Mechanical learning is deficient for the acquisition of significant knowledge in the area of Natural Sciences. For this reason, the objective of this research is to establish the importance of experimental practices in the learning of students in the fifth year of the Educational Unit April 16. Thus, the topics of Block 2 "Human body and health" will have practical application, with the use of the laboratory. The methodology has a mixed approach with qualitative and quantitative interpretations and comparisons. The paradigm is the critical partner, which includes the application of theoretical and empirical methods. Theoretical methods include the analysis and synthesis of bibliographic materials, as well as the systematization of experience. Empirical methods involve participant observation, surveys, a diagnostic evaluation, and a final evaluation. The proposal consisted of preparing a methodological guide with experimental activities that provide support to the teacher in his performance in the area of Natural Sciences. In the end, the results obtained were satisfactory, as they revealed significant improvements in student learning.
