Abstract
The present work has taken place in the School of Basic Education Dr. -Alfredo Pérez Guerrero about the self-concept and self-esteem in the transition childhood - adolescence in students from 11 to 13 years, for which one of the parallels of seventh of basic was selected. The objective was to guarantee an adequate transition from childhood to adolescence through the identification of potentialities and limitations of students in order to promote the development of skills and abilities in their new stage. For this, workshops with related content were implemented, obtaining main results in the students as the understanding of their qualities, differences between stereotypes and reality, recognition of behaviors, problem solving and positive reflections to put into practice what they have learned.
