Abstract
The development of fine motor skills in students with autism spectrum disorder is essential, since this is one of the skills which allows interaction within any classroom. Through the development of fine motor skills, the student can perform different activities that involve the use of hands; such as: writing, manipulation, precision, and so on. This research is carried out with an ASD student, from the second year of Basic General Education at the “San Juan de Jerusalén School”. A qualitative approach is applied within this project through the single case study methodology. Likewise, for the collection of information, various techniques and instruments for gathering information were applied; such as, observation, interviews, document analysis and bibliographic review. After that, data triangulation is used, which allows identifying the student's strengths and weaknesses. By identifying the weaknesses, the intervention proposal was developed; whose goal is the development of fine motor skills. Finally, the proposal of this research is a system of activities based on graphic plastic techniques, within which various exercises are addressed that allow the development of fine motor skills.
