Abstract
The present work of curricular integration was developed on the basis of the participant observation carried out during the pre-professional practices at the Cerebral Palsy Institute of Azuay, within the vocational functional level "A". The student selected for the study presents a language delay as a consequence of his disability, manifesting difficulties in each of the linguistic components. The work arose with the purpose of contributing to the correction and/or compensation of the student's language delay. In order to achieve this objective, theoretical and empirical background was used to deepen the main conceptions that exist on language delay and family orientation. The methodology used in the research is the single case study, which is within a qualitative paradigm through a descriptive study, techniques and instruments were also used to collect information such as: participant observation, field diaries, documentary review, teacher interview, parents, speech therapist and the speech therapy exploration guide, allowing an analysis of results through triangulation, obtaining as a diagnosis the needs and potential of the language components. Based on the needs detected, a family orientation guide is structured with various innovative and flexible activities that allow the student to develop in different contexts.
