Abstract
The present Final Master's Project was carried out with the purpose of proposing a didactic unit that allows to improve reading, analysis, understanding and recreation of literary texts related to the Decapitated Generation and the New Ecuadorian Narrative, using drama as teaching and learning tool. Among the objectives established is the practice of reading, development of knowledge through the understanding of plays and the adaptation of poetry and Ecuadorian narrative to dramatic works, which help improve the oral expression of students and help to demonstrate learning reached by them. Regarding the achievements reached by the students; understand of the characteristics of the poem and the narrative in general, improved the writing, analysis, synthesis and understanding of literary texts.
