Abstract
The present research project is the result of an observation process carried out at the "Remigio Romero y Cordero" Educational Unit, and responds to the educational needs detected in the seventh year of parallel "A" basic education. The central axis of the research was to strengthen the students' reading and writing processes, through active techniques that seek the solution to the identified problem. Through the execution of diagnostic techniques and instruments such as participant observation, pretest and posttest, it was possible to determine that most of the students have a reading and writing problem, which negatively influences their learning. For the development of this research, the qualitative research methodology was used, since it allows knowing the students' realities and building knowledge. For the analysis, the information was grouped into two categories: reading comprehension and writing, after which it was concluded that it is essential to strengthen reading and writing, to allow or ensure that children can write their own texts, increase their level of confidence, improve their self-esteem and improve their writing and reading skills, which will benefit their learning process. Therefore, the purpose of this research work is based on a didactic proposal of interactive activities focused on literary texts, for the development of reading and writing; based on workshops of easy application through the use of stories, legends, fables and audiobooks, that the teacher can develop with all his students, especially with those who present difficulties in both reading and writing.
