Abstract
Social communication constitutes a fundamental basis for human relationships since through it we share with other people what we want, think and feel. The following research project addresses the case of a student with ASD who presents deficiencies in social communication, which gives relevance to the study taking into consideration the stimulation and development of this type of communication since it allows interaction in contexts and spaces. social. Several investigations report that children with ASD present the main characteristics such as: interests and behaviors become restrictive and repetitive, social behavior is affected, limited eye contact when interacting with other individuals, limited use of gestures and facial expressions. Therefore, the objective of the research is to propose a system of activities focused on the circle of friends technique, for the stimulation of the development of social communication of a child with ASD, in the fifth year of EGB of the Specialized Educational Unit " “Agustín Cueva Tamaríz.” In this sense, the research work is outlined from an interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach and the selected method is the case study. Once the research techniques and instruments were applied, limited interactions with the family, teacher, classmates, unknown people and deficiencies in carrying out conversations fluently regarding any topic were found. Subsequently, a system of activities was designed through the circle of friends technique in fusion with the SAAC in order to develop the student's communication skills.
