Abstract
This research project is developed with the purpose of contributing to the development of reading and writing of eighth year EGB students of the Republic of Ecuador Educational Unit, since these skills have not been well developed in the virtual study modality. This was evidenced by direct observation of the educational processes, which reflected those students have difficulties in reading, writing, and also their participation is very scarce during class hours. Therefore, the final objective is to propose a methodological guide on the use of didactic strategies for the development of reading and writing through digital platforms with eighth year EGB students.In fact, a descriptive type of research is developed that has a mixed evocation and is developed through the action research method, with the use of participant observation, a survey and an interview as information collection techniques. All this research process allowed to corroborate that there are indeed shortcomings in reading and writing skills in the eighth year EGB students of the Republic of Ecuador Educational Unit. In conclusion, all these stages of research and developed processes allowed the elaboration of a guide that guides teachers on the use of six didactic strategies for the development of reading and writing through digital platforms with students of the eighth year of EGB, which due to your organization are feasible to use to strengthen reading and writing skills.
