Abstract
The appropriate use of virtual platforms facilitates the teaching-learning process of students. In this sense, the research project focused on the subject of Language and Literature where a series of strategies and reading activities were proposed to enhance the reading comprehension of ninth grade "B" students of the UE EGB "Ricardo Muñoz Chávez" through the properties of the AVA Chamilo platform. For this purpose, issues related to reading comprehension and the use of virtual platforms were diagnosed and substantiated, therefore, this degree work is of a qualitative nature with a socio-critical paradigm where the Participatory Action Research method IAP was used. In response to the problem of this research, the activity guide "I play, read and learn with my friends" was designed, proposed and validated. This proposal is a contribution to motivate and improve the habit of reading based on the interests and needs of ninth grade “B” students to enhance their reading comprehension.
