Abstract
The aim of this research was to implement pedagogical outings to the Pumapungo Museum to promote significant learning in the area of ECA in third-year high school students with intellectual disabilities from the Unidad Educativa Especializada Agustín Cueva Tamariz. To do this, we analyzed the theoretical foundations that support this research. Likewise, the methodological process applied was carried out from the hermeneutic - interpretative paradigm with a qualitative research approach. The Case Study method was also used, applying each of its phases. On the other hand, participant observation and interview were applied as research techniques; while, the field journal, observation guide and interview guide were used as instruments for data collection. The main result of this research was the lack of significant learning in the area of ACE. However, in order to respond to the problems identified, an intervention proposal was designed based on the planning of pedagogical visits to the Pumapungo Museum for the development of significant learning in the ACE area in third-year high school students A with intellectual disability of the Unidad Educativa Especializada Agustín Cueva Tamariz. Finally, the conclusions of the research were raised, which highlighted the importance of the use of the museum as a didactic space for the development of significant learning in Cultural and Artistic Education.
