Abstract
This Curricular Integration Work, called Development of auditory discrimination in the Field of Artistic Expression in infants of Sublevel 2 of the Francisco Febres Cordero Millennium Educational Unit, aimed to propose a booklet of playful activities based on songs that contribute to the development of auditory discrimination in the Field of Artistic Expression of infants of sublevel 2 parallel "A" of the Francisco Febres Cordero Millennium Educational Unit. The study was based on the theory of the dialectical materialist theory of Smirnov et al's sensation. (1960). In addition, some skills of the Field of Artistic Expression were considered, related to figure- background discrimination, sounds of the environment, imitation, memory and listening attention. On the other hand, Ruiz (2011) facilitated the understanding of the qualities of sound and Pascual (2006) contributed significantly with didactic guidelines for the development of auditory discrimination . The research has a socio-critical paradigm with a qualitative approach and the methodology was based on a case study. As for the collection of information, the techniques were used: participant observation and structured interview, with their respective instruments: observation guide, field diary and interview guide. In this way, it was obtained as a diagnosis that that most children cannot discriminate sound qualities (intensity, timbre, height and duration). To respond to the general objective, a booklet of playful activities was designed from songs called "Orejitas to listen" which contains a repertoire of songs with activities based on the qualities of sound and skills that arise from auditory discrimination. Subsequently, this proposal was implemented in order to favor the problem raised. As results of the implementation of the proposal, it was obtained that half of the children were able to recognize the qualities of the sound that are the timbre, duration and imitation, highlighting that in imitation the majority managed to function in a positive way.
