Abstract
The objective of the research work is to develop children's fine motor skills through the implementation of plastic arts. Within the work, an intervention proposal was designed and implemented in the 'Javier Loyola' Educational Unit with students in the first year of basic education. The project involved the use of graphoplastic techniques such as tracing, cutting, gluing, finger painting, etc., as well as the use of plastic and non-plastic materials. The research is governed by a qualitative approach, with action research design, a descriptive method and data collection techniques such as observation, photographs and interviews. Tools such as field diaries, interview guides and photographic records were used to obtain evidence of the work carried out. Finally, the whole process had a favorable result, leading to the conclusion that plastic arts are of great importance in the development of fine motor skills in children, since their implementation helps children to have better manual control.
