Abstract
This degree project called Art Corner based on the Maria Montessori Methodology to promote autonomy in infants of the Intercultural Bilingual Educational Unit Huayna Capac, had the objective of proposing the art corner based on the Maria Montessori Methodology to promote autonomy in children from 3 to 4 years old in Community Family Infant Education of the Educational Unit "Huayna Capac", this originated from the observations made during the 6 weeks of pre-professional immersion practices of eighth and ninth cycle. For this reason, several theoretical references on the design of the corners and the development of autonomy in infants were considered, such as: Model of the Intercultural Bilingual Education System (2013), Early Education Curriculum (2014), Ramos (2019), among others. Indicating the benefits that a learning corner has, the dimensions and materials that an art corner should have. In addition, the Maria Montessori methodology, the basic principles and the importance of didactic materials were estimated, for this purpose, the contributions of Montessori (2004), Freire (2022) and Cariñegal (2021) were taken as a reference. On the other hand, the research complies with the qualitative approach, a socio-critical paradigm, also, the participatory action research method was used and a descriptive level with a field research design, due to the direct participation in the research space. All the information obtained was collected with the help of techniques and instruments such as the interview, interview guide, participant observation and field diaries. As a result, it was evidenced that when the art corner was adapted, the children were happy, amazed and motivated when working in this space; therefore, the art corner constitutes a fundamental space to execute the activities where they can develop their autonomy and independence at the moment of performing.
