Abstract
Language is the most widely used medium used by human beings communicate their feelings, thoughts and emotions besides knowledge being acauired and transmitted through it. For this reason, this project addresses Family Participation in the stimulation of language in infants from 4 to 5 years old from CEI "Luis Cordero Crespo", wich is aimed at stimulating the development of verbal language through a support workshop for families, where various didactic strategies were presented, such as stories, pictograms, oral-facial exercises and games. In this way, it was intended to articulate forces with families, strengthening positive parenting skills to benefit infants in their language development processes. Piaget and Brunner were taken as the main theoretical references, who are the representatives of the constructivist theories and of social interaction respectively; Likewise, were Castañeda (1999), Alfaro and Badilla (2015) and Ander-Egg (1991). To develop this research process, we started from a qualitative approach, with a socio-critical paradigm and from the Action Research methodology, given that it was visualized to carry out a transformation of specific educational practices through a proposal for educational intervention; The design, implementation, evaluation and socialization of the educational intervention proposal, "Learning Together" workshop. For this, the techniques were applied: participant observation, interview and survey, with their respective data collection instruments: field diary, observation guide, interview form, survey questionnaire, estimation scale and checklist. The main results showed that by increasing family participation infants were able to improve their language skills, thanks to their interaction with significant others in their environment and to the use of didactic strategies.
