Abstract
The main purpose of this thesis work is: a center for historical and ethnological interpretation through a system of didactic resources and its methodological treatment for the strengthening of the teaching-learning process of the social sciences, in basic general education. This design is strengthened theoretically from the writings of Freeman Tilden, pioneer of heritage interpretation as a discipline; and, the didactic of the social sciences, the didactic of the patrimony, the historical method, the ethnographic method and the centers of interpretation, worked by Joaquim Prats and Joan Santacana, who mention the necessity of a change in the treatment of social sciences in educational institutions. The project was based on a diagnosis made through the systematization of field diaries, interviews, focus groups and participatory observation, which provided a "general" picture of the area in which users have performed their practical pre-professional practices, the participant observation cannot get a firsthand impression about the operation of the interpretation center. As main results of this research, we aspire to achieve the design of the interpretation center and the creation of the methodology that helps its application and the use of Social Sciences teachers in educational institutions.
