Abstract
The evaluation of learning within the Ecuadorian educational system has taken on greater relevance since the last curricular reform carried out in 2016, which has led to new research on the subject. The work presented contributes to the development of a strategy that facilitates evaluation when using organizational forms based on cooperative learning.The project starts from the investigation of theoretical references in relation to the evaluation of learning and especially cooperative learning, in which the different forms and types of evaluation for each case were evidenced. In the methodological process, the socio-critical paradigm, qualitative approach and action research design were used because it enables self-reflection and self-criticism in educational practice itself. In relation to the above, the study took as a population the students of the ninth years of the Luis Cordero Educational Unit, from which a representative sample of 50 students was taken. Different data collection techniques and instruments were used, aimed at identifying the characteristics of the evaluation in the context of cooperative learning, which allowed the identification of different difficulties. In correspondence with the theoretical references analyzed and the definition of the object of study, a strategy is proposed that is based on and explains its structure, as well as the fundamental relationships that must exist between its components. Finally, the strategy proposal was validated using the expert assessment method according to the criteria of: being relevant, being novel, being valid and being innovative
