Abstract
The objective of the study is to provide a theoretical approach to the applied pedagogical model of Ecuadorian basic education in the course of the 21st century. The re¬search was of a qualitative type, based on phenomenological methodology. The data obtained were provided by 10 key informants, selected in a non-probabilistic manner, as active teach¬ers who had graduated from different universities, both public and private. A semi-structured interview was used as a key instrument for data collection. The results were analyzed in an interpretative way by the researchers in conjunction with the ATLAS.ti operating system, which allowed the categorization of the results to structure a theoretical approximation of the informative deductions of the research.
