Abstract
This research entitled Augmented Reality for the Teaching-Learning Process (PEA) of binary compounds for 1st BGU in the U.E. Manuel J. Calle, part of the analysis of information that was collected through techniques such as observation, interview and diagnostic test, thus the research has a socio-critical paradigm with a mixed approach. To carry out the research, the Chemistry teacher and 82 first-year students from BGU A and B of the U.E Manuel J. Calle participated. Through the analysis of the information, it was evident that there is a lack of use of didactic and technological resources in chemistry classes, the teacher teaches classes in a traditional way, therefore, students lose interest in the subject and do not provide importance to it, they have difficulties differentiating and naming compounds, this is reflected in their academic performance. That is why a sequence of classes with Augmented Reality (AR) was proposed to contribute to the improvement of the PEA of binary compounds. It should be noted that this proposal was applied to 41 students from the 1st BGU A, which is the Experimental group. The results obtained were positive, the teacher was very enthusiastic about applying this innovative technology in her chemistry classes and a significant improvement was achieved in the students' PEA on the topic of binary compounds through the use of AR. In conclusion, the proposal was carried out effectively and the stated objectives were achieved; there are also aspects that could be improved.
