Abstract
The present project "Soundscapes as a didactic tool in the teaching and learning of music and sound by implementing Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Cultural and Artistic Education (ECA)" has as general objective to apply musical production through the soundscape as a didactic tool, to strengthen the teaching and learning of musical and sound arts in ECA, with students of tenth grade of basic education of the Eugenio Espejo Educational Unit. For this, the intervention proposal was developed in 4 phases: an introduction to music by applying basic terms of music theory, in the second phase were developed topics of introduction to sound by applying attentive and critical listening, for the third phase were applied topics of editing, experimentation and audio composition, with platforms and programs such as Reaper and Chrome music lab, in such a way activities such as podcast, sound story, 8D audio and soundscape were applied. Finally, the students presented their soundscape to an audience of members and students of the institution. The use of platforms, applications and programs allow students to acquire new competencies and skills for their academic and personal life. The information of the results were validated by means of data collection techniques and instruments, in which it is determined that the experiences in class by each student, affirm that the theoretical and practical processes to make a soundscape, serve to develop skills of creation, research, composition, creativity, audio and video editing, concentration, experimentation in the environment, critical and attentive listening, playing with the sonorities of an environment, management of content distribution platforms, group work and management of ICT.
