Abstract
The present work has the objective of “Proposing the Communicative Method (CLT) applying communicative strategies aimed at developing the communicative skills in speaking in a foreign language in students of the second year of FIP Computer High School of the Andrés F Córdova School of the City of Cañar. The Communicative Method, which consists mainly of developing communication skills in different contexts, also allows working from real situations and developing critical thinking during the teaching-learning process in students. A qualitative methodology will be used to work in a systemic way with the second year high school students, Computer Science and, the techniques that will be applied are interviews and surveys. Finally, the instruments that will be applied are interview questionnaire and survey questionnaire. The expected results are as follows: Diagnose the level of knowledge of students through the application of a diagnostic assessment instrument, surveys of both teachers of the English area and students, which allows a clearer approach to the problem to be investigated and the skills that have not been developed in the students Theoretically base the achievement of communication skills through the application of the communicative method by analyzing different views of authors and the results obtained from the diagnostic test and surveys. Design activities that promote the achievement of communicative skills in students and that they achieve permeate in them the skills necessary for communicative learning and all that are the main actors in the construction of knowledge. Value the CLT methodology in achieving communicative skills in teaching English.
