Abstract
The objective of this research work is to promote autonomy in boys and girls aged 4 to 5 years at the "Totoracocha" Early Education Center (CEI), through the implementation of an activity booklet. During the pre-professional practices, autonomy difficulties were identified in the infants, which suggested addressing this problem. To collect relevant information, techniques and instruments such as the field diary, the observation guide and an interview directed at the teacher were used, which allowed guiding the development of the research. On the other hand, a review of various theoretical supports at the local, national and international level was carried out, including Montessori pedagogy as the main source of information. In addition, a qualitative approach was adopted, with a socio-critical paradigm, developing action research. In response to the identified problem, a booklet of activities was designed that incorporates skills from the area of Identity and Autonomy of the 2014 Initial Education Curriculum. This booklet consists of 10 activities, of which 4 were applied as a pilot test. Where it was possible to demonstrate in the results of the implementation of the piloted activities, positive changes in the infants, thus offering an effective answer to the central question of how to strengthen the autonomy in boys and girls of 4 and 5 years of age from the CEI "Totoracocha ". Furthermore, the objectives set in this research were achieved.
