Abstract
This application project will be developed with the goal of designing an orientation guide and tourist information for the province of Santa Elena as a didactic resource for students of the Manglaralto High School, for which the application of the inductive method is required. The selected procedure is Design Thinking, which bases its actions on five steps: empathize the understanding of needs; define the information that we are going to use, devise the vision that we want to obtain, generate the prototypes of the end that we want to obtain, test the solution that we want to develop. The Design Thinking process contains five stages, it is not linear, therefore, you can go backwards or forwards if you see fit, you can even jump to non-consecutive stages. It will start by collecting a lot of information, generating a large amount of content, where this will grow or decrease will depend on the phase you are find. The Research Line was applied with the techniques and instruments; it will be based on qualitative and quantitative inquiry, which will be the observation, survey and interview of the students of the tourism area of the Manglaralto Educational Unit. The survey was made through Google Forms, this application provides the facility to display results graphically and perform the respective analysis of the information obtained. The expected result of this project is to work systematically with students of the tourism area of the Manglaralto school, to create a technological tool for students to learn more about the history, gastronomy, culture and tourist places of the Santa Elena Province in a friendly, educational and interactive way, with optimal information on all cultural, historical and heritage sites. The implementation of this didactic resource will enhance the knowledge of the students and contribute to the knowing for citizenship and regional identity. The project will affect the improvement of the dissemination and quality of tourist services. This will encourage tourists to visit the province and develop jobs that offer products in the tourist and cultural field.
