Abstract
This research is based on a problem identified in the Gualaceo Specialized Educational Unit located in the Gualaceo canton, Azuay province, Ecuador, during the pre-professional practices carried out over eight weeks. In order to achieve this study, the following scientific question has been raised, how to contribute to the development of fine motor skills in high school children from the Gualaceo Specialized Educational Unit? Hence, this work’s main purpose is to create a learning environment for the development of the final motor skills of high school children of said educational institution. The study is positioned from a qualitative approach and a Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodo- logy, and used direct and participant observation, the interview, documentary analysis and the development wheel, the latter of great value because it was able to diagnose the level of development of the final motor skills of these infants and generated a more realistic proposal aimed at meeting the needs found in the context of analysis. As the main result of the research, it is highlighted that the design of the proposed learning environment has wide possibilities to stimulate the development of the final motor skills of infants in preparation for the educational establishment.
