Abstract
This investigation is focused on the Taptana Canari as a didactical resource for the teaching - learning of the addition and subtraction of natural numbers in the quarter year of EGB of the Education Unit Antonio Avila Maldonado during the period 2022 - 2023. It has an objective, and that objective is to strengthen the teaching - learning of the addition and subtraction of natural numbers through micro-planning with the use of the Taptana Canari. During the professional practices, the scarce use of manipulable didactic resources in the area of Mathematics was observed, in the teaching-learning process of arithmetic algorithms. The importance that the use of the Taptana Cañari in the classroom currently has been considered, therefore, this generates great interest for teachers so that they have information on the management of this resource. The methodology of this project takes the socio-critical paradigm, a qualitative approach and an action research method. It has a sample of 27 students and the teacher of the mentioned grade. Information collection techniques were applied such as: participant observation, semi-structured interview, focus groups and diagnostic performance tests and final evaluation. The result of this research arises from the implemented proposal " Let's learn the addition and subtraction is fun with the Taptana Cañari", where it was possible to respond to the problem and the resource helps to improve the teaching-learning process of the two basic operations in a significant and efficient way.
