Abstract
In the present research work, the issue of student desertion in the Intensive Higher Basic Education of young people and adults is addressed, this being one of the biggest problems faced by the Ministry of Education. For this reason, the concretion of a methodological alternative that contributes to reducing the student desertion of the all ABC campaign in the Educational Unit February 24, of the Yaupi parish of the Canton Logroño of the province of Morona Santiago, during the period 2018 to 2022. The case study methodology was assumed in a population of 32 students from the Logroño Canton, in which only 13 students managed to complete their studies. The following were determined as components of the methodological alternative: the methodological foundation, the need for diagnosis, the declaration of objectives, which allow the development of the system of activities, as well as the recommendations for its implementation and evaluation. The proposal was assessed through the focus group technique, based on the indicators derived from the object of study, which demonstrated its effectiveness. The investigative process followed, based on the declared specific objectives, favored the contribution to the solution of the problem, results that were cleanly developed in the conclusions.
