Abstract
The present research was conducted in the educational unit "9 de Octubre" of Santa Ana canton in the Province of Manabí, which has not had any type of external evaluation that allows knowing the fulfillment of the performance standards until the development of the present study. The general objective was to design an internal evaluation plan of the management professional performance standards in the "9 de Octubre" Educational Unit for external evaluation processes. The methodology was framed in the interpretive paradigm, the qualitative approach and the type of design was the case study. The informants of the research were three directors and thirty teachers. The data collection instruments used were an interview, a questionnaire and documentary analysis. The results showed the situational status of the level of compliance with the standards of managerial professional development and the need to design an internal evaluation plan for the standards of managerial professional performance, which was validated by expert criteria. The conclusions show the importance of the application of the matrix of indicators as a contribution to the improvement of the educational processes of the institution and the validation evidenced the feasibility of the proposal.
