Abstract
People with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often have alterations intheir sensory integration, which causes them to repeatedly present an overload of stimuli, which pushes them beyond their tolerance limits, causing stress and self-harm. Therefore, it is considered of great importance to stimulate the integration of their senses through multisensory activities, so they can generate more adapted responses to the stimuli of the environment and have a better quality of life. This research aims to design an intervention program called "Sensory Diet" for students with ASD that are coursing the high school level in a specialized institution. It is assumed from a mixed approach and from the group case study technique; the data were collected through the analysis of student files, observation cards, in-depth interviews, the application of the sensory profile test and the criteria of specialists. The results allowed to know that the students studied present sensory alterations and manifestations of hyper and hypo sensitivity at the moment of perceiving the stimuli of the environment through their senses, which is evidenced in alterations of their behavior and difficulties in carrying out activities of daily life, by the overload of stimuli. To improve this situation, the Sensory Diet intervention program was designed, which was validated through the criteria of specialists, who determined its relevance, quality and feasibility to contribute to the stimulation of sensory integration of students with ASD
