Abstract
The work corresponds to a program to improve the self-esteem of the fourth year students of Basic General Education of the school "Cayambe", same that has developed in transversality with the area of Language and Literature and focuses on the design of activities motivating, attractive that contribute to the strengthening of the self-esteem at the same time that they promote the learning of the subject. The main objective of designing the teaching unit is to ensure that students feel confident in their abilities and skills to offer better performance in the classroom and thereby raise their level of self-esteem. The results obtained with this work are very satisfactory in that it has been achieved that there is greater participation in students, confidence in their skills, talents and skills, in addition, greater integration and better interpersonal relationships between classmates have been observed.
