Abstract
The present research seeks to highlight the role and contribution of the educational advisor in a bilingual educational institution through the analysis of the application of the intercultural bilingual curriculum, the same one that has been analyzed from the approach of the Model of the Bilingual Education System (MOSEIB). The research is of a mixed type, since it takes techniques from the qualitative and quantitative approaches, including the interview and the survey. The process of diagnosis, analysis of data obtained will establish an educational proposal to the Sisid Intercultural Bilingual Community Educational Unit of the Ingapirca parish of the Cañar canton. The proposal focuses its contribution on the pedagogical aspect, without minimizing, of course, the technical, theoretical and organizational aspects of an educational consultancy that responds to quality management in education. The results found were: the loss of the mother tongue, the disfigurement of the indigenous identity, school migration, the presence of teachers who do not speak Kichwa, the lack of educational counseling in bilingual institutions. All this due to a stringent educational policy that highlights the need and importance of having an educational advisor in these bilingual educational units to contribute to the fulfillment of the proposals from the MOSEIB, to education in the territories and bilingual population of our country.
