Abstract
This project focuses on creating experimental demonstrations with the help of guides to contribute to the improvement of molecular genetics learning in the Biology subject in the second year of the parallel B unified general baccalaureate (BGU). To comply with what is described above, such as First point, a search for theoretical information is carried out and in this way base the investigation; also, an initial diagnosis is made, for this a mixed methodology is applied; that is, qualitative and quantitative, as techniques to collect information, an interview is used, which is applied to the Biology teacher of said class, a survey and a pretest are also implemented to the 34 second B students; likewise, participant observation is applied and recorded in field diaries. This project is carried out in the UE Luis Cordero in the city of Azogues; where, in the initial diagnosis, it was possible to know that most of the students show little interest and difficulties in understanding the topics of molecular genetics treated in class; In addition, there is no evidence that there are group works and experimental activities are not addressed; In the same way, they do not review the given material, so the contents are only dealt with in the classroom and are later forgotten. To solve the difficulties present in said classroom, guides of experimental demonstrations are elaborated; where, the results reflect that the execution of the proposal was satisfactory, since the students manage to work in groups, become more curious, participate actively during classes, share information among classmates and give their points of view until reaching a consensus and thus build new learning.
