Abstract
The present work is framed in the Emotional Intelligence field, which collects contributions from leading researchers and authors in this area, specifically it is a program of preventive and development that has as its general objective: the implementation of an intervention program that encourages the development of basic emotional competences, to favor the integral development of children and contribute to the improvement of school coexistence. The main results observed in the children participating in the program were the behavior change, especially in the resolution of conflicts by putting the strategies worked into practice in their daily coexistence. It is important that in the educational field the students are really considered as an integral being that cannot be divided in mind and heart, and work both the acquisition of academic knowledge’s as tools and strategies for life.
