Abstract
This paper is about Azuayan female teachers’ roles during the second semester of 2021, it seeks to determine them in such a way that allows evidencing female teachers feelings about their different action fields. It starts with a bibliographic review on the role played by female teachers in their personal, and work context; conceptions of feminism; gender equity; and transversalization of female role. Methodology is based on a mixed-cut study, with an interpretative paradigm. A 20 questions survey was applied on Google Forms to a finite sample of 35 female teachers of initial and basic education that work at Cuenca, Paute, Chordeleg, Gualaceo and Nabón cities. The results show that in most of schools their leaders are women, a situation that is already assumed by their family and work context. However, in minimal percentages there are situations of discrimination and harassment. Women’s leading role at the home is relevant, and sometimes unilateral. Academic level has improved, with third and fourth level degrees. It is concluded that female teachers feel motivated and committed in the execution their different social roles.
