Abstract
The research focuses on the teaching of mathematics through the complementarity of concrete material use with CTs, in a group of 36 students in the fifth grade of General Basic Education. The objective is to develop a methodological strategy that facilitates the achievement of learning achievements in mathematics through the use of concrete material according to the current context, in the fifth year of basic education of the Unidad Educativa “República del Ecuador", which has specific objectives aimed at founding, designing and validating an innovative learning proposal by complementing the application of concrete material with the use of the TACs. The research adopts a social-critical paradigm, a qualitative approach and an inductive method. In the same way, the technique of direct observation was used, which made it possible to approach reality, as well as to reflect, plan and execute actions in search of significant transformations. An oral interview was conducted with the teacher of the institution based on a questionnaire of open questions, allowing qualitative data to be obtained. Similarly, an expert judgement was applied on the basis of an assessment questionnaire, which was addressed to experts in the field who, according to their point of view, assessed the proposal both quantitatively and qualitatively The complementarity of the concrete material with the virtual one was successful, since the proposal links several learning approaches, emphasizing constructivism and connectivism. The proposal focused on virtual learning through video tutorials that take as a priority the development and use of concrete material to work on themes of the curriculum of the fifth year of basic education.
