Abstract
Within the framework of the World Education Forum (2000), Ecuador committed to renew its educational system to address current and future challenges regarding this issue and set out to achieve the six goals of UNESCO's Education for All (EFA). The "Eugenio Espejo" Replica Educational Unit is an institution that offers quality education and development opportunities to its inhabitants and has a modern and complete infrastructure. The work presents the reconstruction of a significant educational practice that favored the solution to a problem related to the development of meaningful learning in the students of youth and adult education of the Eugenio Espejo Réplica Educational Unit of the Babahoyo city. The justification of the research is based on the need to understand how reintegration into the educational system impacts the lives of students and how it can contribute to their social, economic and labor transformation to strengthen the sense of community and collaboration where it is promoted. solidarity. The methodology of reconstruction of significant practices was used from the phases of systematization of experiences, which allowed the identification of categories such as: meaningful learning, attention to diversity, active teaching strategies, socio-affective relationships and affective communication. The process of interpretation of results contributed to identifying didactic premises to promote the development of meaningful learning in the students of Youth and Adult Education of the Eugenio Espejo Réplica Educational Unit of the Babahoyo city.
