Abstract
The objective of this integrating project is to design a didactic guide for the development of socio-emotional skills through the teaching-learning process of Social Studies. This research was carried out on the 5th year EGB students who belong to the Remigio Romero y Cordero Educational School. The project raised from the data gathered in the applied diagnostic instruments; the issue corresponds to the unidirectionality in the implementation of Social Studies content. In addition, on the basis of a theoretical approach and without the incorporation of socio-emotional skills. In means, the study was oriented for designing and applying the didactic guide, under the line of research "Processes of learning and development". The proposal comprehends six class plans which were executed with the support of constructivist methodologies and the direct link of socio-emotional skills in each session. The methodological process of integrating project was framed in the socio-critical paradigm. It was through the qualitative approach with the use of the case study as a method of research and various data collection techniques and instruments applied, which were before and after the intervention. The results showed that the application of the guide formed and strengthened socio-emotional relationships, critical-reflective thinking, skills related to the subject, and significant learning through spaces of interaction, motivation, and dynamism between the different educational actors. In conclusion, the proposal worked to as an optimal tool for the progress of skills and the training of students capable of living harmoniously with others.
