Abstract
This Curricular Integration Work (CIW) focuses on the identification and resolution of conflicts in the classroom, due to its negative impact on the learning environment and the social relationships of the students. The general objective of this work was to develop Emotional Intelligence to improve conflict resolution in students of the third year of Basic General Education (EGB). It was based on the theories of renowned experts in Emotional Intelligence such as Daniel Goleman, Peter Salovey, Jhon Mayer and Reuven Bar-On, whose research provided a solid basis for the development of this research. Regarding the methodological development, the socio- critical paradigm was chosen, using a qualitative approach and the methodology of action research. Various data collection instruments were used, such as questionnaires, interviews, tests and field diaries. To address the identified problem, an intervention proposal focused on the development of Emotional Intelligence skills through playful and innovative activities was designed and applied.
It was concluded that the implementation of activities aimed at promoting the development of emotional intelligence not only led to improvements in learning environments, but also strengthened interactions between students, promoting collaborative work and generating a positive impact on the management of conflicts in the classroom.
